OUR STORY
Rome gave the world its greatest stage for storytelling – from ancient theatre to the studios of Cinecittà. Rome Music Video Awards continues that tradition.
We honour music videos made like cinema: with a story, with light, with emotion that stays after the song ends. We don’t ask how loud your video is. We ask what it makes us feel.
Since 2021, filmmakers and artists from 43 countries have won in Rome. Some had major label budgets, others had a borrowed camera and one long night. In Rome, they compete as equals – because a strong idea doesn’t need a big budget, only courage and a clear vision.
Every film we receive is watched in full by our jury. We look at the story it tells, the way it is lit and framed, the performances, the editing and how deeply the images and the music speak to each other. The best of them are crowned with the Corona d’Oro and return at the end of the year to compete for our highest honour, the Gran Premio di Roma.

HOW IT WORKS
Rome Music Video Awards is an online festival. Your film travels to Rome without you having to – and reaches an international audience from anywhere in the world.
The festival runs in Acts, like an opera. Each Act has its own submission deadline, jury selection and announcement of winners.
Atto – Submit
Choose one or more categories and submit your film directly through the submission form on our website. You can enter any Act during the year.
La Giuria – The Jury Watches
Every film is watched in full by our jury. We judge the story, the image, the performances, the editing and how the music and the visuals work together.
Corona d’Oro – The Winners
At the end of each Act, the winners, finalists and official selections are announced online. Winners are featured on our website and social channels and receive the official laurels for their posters, EPKs and promotion.
Il Finale – The Online Gala
At the end of the year, the Corona d’Oro winners from all Acts return for Il Finale, our online gala. One film receives the festival’s highest honour, the Gran Premio di Roma.
